Obituary for DOLORES "DEE DEE" KUCHARCZYK

Queensbury/Yonkers:
Dolores ‘Dee Dee’ Kucharczyk, 51, after Dee’s second heroic battle with cancer, her family is sad to share the battle was lost on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 and is reunited with her family in heaven whom she so dearly missed.
Born on July 16, 1965 in Yonkers, she was the daughter of the late Louis E. and Alice Kucharczyk, Sr.
She graduated from Lincoln High School, Yonkers. She then worked in medical billing departments for Boro Medical, Yonkers; Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville over 20 years; Glens Falls Hospital, Glens Falls, and as patient care assistant for Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward.
Dee enjoyed sports and played basketball, and softball for leagues in Yonkers. Dee was a coach for East Yonkers L.L. girl’s softball team for many years. She also bowled with her sisters at Home Field bowling alley for many years and was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and NY Knicks. In her free time she liked hang out with her dogs, watch her favorite shows on television, read the newest release from James Patterson, listening to classic rock. Spending time with family and friends were some of her most treasured memories; especially the holidays and she always looked forward to Thanksgiving and especially the nights out with the girls dancing.
Dee was a unique soul who touched many lives and will always be remembered for being caring, honest and also her straight to the point attitude. We will miss that spunky spark and beautiful smile she had when she walked into the room.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother, Frank Kucharczyk and her nephew, David Pagliaroli, and her fiance, Rob Zukovich.
Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Joy Maccharulo and her husband, Louis and their children, Gregory and Vincent all of Queensbury; her sister, Mary (Bobby) Wirchansky, her brother, Buddy Kucharczyk; her sister, Jeannie Kucharczyk, her sister, Louise (John) Pagliaroli all of Yonkers, her sister, Linda Denison of Florida; her closest friends, Laura Livecchi of Cross River and Lori (Rob) Guistino of Wappingers Falls; her dogs, Rascal and Dottie, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, an aunt and uncle, many cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours are scheduled from 4-8PM on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the DUCHYNSKI-CHERKO Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers 10704. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:30AM. Additional calling hours are scheduled from 6-8pm on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Dee and her family are very thankful to, “In Dee’s words”, ‘her crew’ who took wonderful care of her and the family on T2 in Glens Falls Hospital; and also Dr. Gaiotti-Grubbs, Dr. Frank and the staff at the CR Wood Cancer Center.
